Description:

DuPage PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) is an overnight shelter with rotating sites in north, central, and south DuPage County locations. PADS operates seven days a week from October 1 to April 30th at full capacity providing shelter to homeless people. From May 1 through September 30th the program operates at about half-capacity. PADS is only available to persons able to prove Dupage residency within 90 days prior to becoming homeless. A Client Service Center program on weekdays provides one-on-one case management for current clients. Minors are welcome if accompanied by a legal guardian or parent. PADS sites operate from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am and open at 6:00 pm for families.

PADS also offers Permanent Supportive Housing for single individuals with physical or mental health disability. Transportation may be available for case management clients. Bus passes may be available to housing clients.

Business Office: 9:00 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday; Client Service Center: 7:30 am-3:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 7:30 am-1:00 pm Thursday.

Eligibility:

Summer Shelter Sites for DuPage residents only. The rest of the year there are no restrictions. No sex offenders or violent offenders are accepted.
